DailyTel - Free Phone/Internet Service - ACP

DailyTel Wireless is a internet company with a home office in. West Palm Beach, Florida. In addition to offering internet and cell service, they participate in the Federal Affordable Connectivity Program ACP. As a participant, they offer either a free phone or tablet to eligible customers. The devices are subject to a $10.01 copay. As required through the Federal Affordable Connectivity Program.

Here's a quick synopsis of the ACP plan. It provides monthly discounts of up to $30 for enrolled low-income families. The discount increases to $75 per month for families living on Tribal Lands.

DailyTel Internet Plans

As of this writing, DailyTel advertises the following three internet plans. Keep in mind that if you qualify for and enroll in the ACP, the plans listed below will range in price from free to $15 per month. The plans are as follows:

  • Cost: $45 per month

Interestingly enough, the way DailyTel’s plans are listed on the website, they specifically mention Caller ID, Call waiting, Forwarding and voicemail, and free 911 under the Platinum plan only. However, these features are usually included in all internet plans. If you do decide to sign up with DailyTel, make sure to confirm the features.

DailyTel Areas of Service

While the DailyTel’s home office is located in Florida and they service over 50 cities with nationwide 5G service, one can assume they provide service locally. However, as how many any additional states they service, their website is silent. Of course, if you apply you’ll find out quickly if they service your area.

Qualifying for ACP Free Internet Benefits

If you’d like to receive the discounts and free devices as offered through the Affordable Connectivity Program, you must meet at least one of the following eligibility criteria:

  1. You or someone in your household receives benefits from one of the following programs:

    • Federal Public Housing Assistance
    • Medicaid
    • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (Food Stamps or SNAP
    • Supplemental Security Income
    • Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefit
    • Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance
    • Tribally-Administered Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
    • Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations
    • Tribal Head Start
    • Lifeline

    Or,

  2. Be a current year recipient of a Pell Grant, or

  3. Have a household income of 200% or below the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Signing up for ACP and DailyTel Service

If you successfully meet one of the above criteria, gather the necessary documentation (see ACP site for acceptable documentation) and visit the Affordable Connectivity.gov website to apply for ACP benefits. Approval is usually quick as in 20 to 30 minutes. Sometimes the approval process is delayed depending on website volume. Other times it might be delayed if the documentation is incomplete or requires rectifying.

After you receive approval, go over to the DailyTel website to apply. When applying for service at DailyTel, be sure to usee the same information on their application as you used on the GetInternetNow website. Any difference in application information may cause your application to be rejected.

Things to Know

  • If you are a current DailyTel customer receiving Lifeline benefits, you still must submit an application to receive ACP benefits in addition to the Lifeline benefits. Lifeline and ACP benefits are combinable.

  • Only one benefit per household. In other words, if you and your partner both qualify for benefits and live in the same household, only one of you may receive benefits.

  • To maintain benefits you must recertify annually to prove you still meet the eligibility criteria.
