Wyoming: Listing of Free Government Phone Providers
If you live in the state of Wyoming and participate in the Federal Lifeline program, you have the opportunity to receive a free government cell phone along with free service (talk/text and data). Or, if you prefer, through the Lifeline program you could opt for discounts on your home landline service (choose one only).
Now, with the creation of the Federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which replaced the EBB program, eligible residents have the option of receiving a free or discounted device such as a tablet, computer, or laptop. With the device comes unlimited internet service.
Because the plans vary from company to company, it is recommended that you review and compare several companies and plans before signing up for one. Below is a listing of phone service providers that participate in the Lifeline and/or ACP programs and services in the state of Wyoming:
This list looks a bit sparse and may not contain all of the phone companies in Wyoming that participate in the Lifeline free and discounted phone service, but it is a start. As we become aware of more companies, we will add them (or delete the ones no longer in service).
Facts about Lifeline benefits in Wyoming: As of October 2022, of the over 56,000 families eligible to receive Lifeline benefits, only a little over 360 households are taking advantage of it. That meas that about 99% of the eligible households are not enrolled and should be. This information is documented on the Universal Service Administrative Company USAC website.
If you know someone who could benefit from enrolling in Lifeline, share this with them.
