North Dakota: Listing of Free Government Phone Providers
If you live in the state of North Dakota and participate in the Federal Lifeline program, you have the opportunity to receive a free government cell phone along with free service (talk/text and data). Or, if you prefer, through the Lifeline program you could opt for discounts on your home landline service (choose one only).
Now, with the creation of the Federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which replaced the EBB program, eligible residents have the option of receiving a free or discounted device such as a tablet, computer, or laptop. With the device comes unlimited internet service.
Because the plans vary from company to company, it is recommended that you review and compare several companies and plans before signing up for one. Below is a listing of phone service providers that participate in the Lifeline and/or ACP programs and services in the state of North Dakota:
This list is not a comprehensive listing of all free and discounted phone providers in North Dakota. As we come across more providers, we will update the list.
North Dakota Lifeline Facts: According to the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC), only 9% of the almost 70,000 households eligible to receive Lifeline benefits have enrooled. That means 91% of Lifeline-eligible households still struggle to pay for services they could receive for free.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: This site was created to help people find information about free government phones. We do not mail, activate or repair free government phones nor do we provide service. If you have questions about phone service we suggest you contact the phone service provider directly.
