Georgia: Listing of Free Government Phone Providers
Low-income residents in the state of Georgia have the opportunity to receive either a free or deeply discounted device (with free airtime/texting and data) or a discount on their home landline. These services are made possible thanks to the federal Lifeline and Affordable Connectivity Programs (ACP).
While many Georgia phone companies participate in the Lifeline and ACP programs, you'll soon find that the offers differ from company to company. When researching service providers, make sure to spend time comparing the plans to ensure you select the best plan for your needs.
Below is a listing of phone service providers offering free or discounted government phones and services in the state of Georgia:
This list may not contain all of the phone companies in Georgia that participate in the Lifeline free and discounted phone service, but it is a good start. As we become aware of more companies, we will add them (or delete the ones no longer in service).
Did You Know?: According to the Universal Service Administrative Company, of the 1,122,972 households eligible to participate in the Lifeline program as of October 2022, only 27% actually enroll. That's right. Only 303,490 eligible households are taking advantage of the Lifeline/ACP benefits.
If you know of an individual or household that can benefit from these programs, please share this with them.
