Viaero Wireless Free Phones, Lifeline and ACP Plans

Viaero Wireless is a regional cell phone provider with nationwide coverage.Viaero Wireless They also participate in the Lifeline and Affordable Connectivity Programs. As a participant in these programs, Viaero offers free and discounted services to qualified individuals or families.

The Lifeline program offers a monthly discount of $9.25. For those living on qualified tribal lands, the discount increases to $34.25. If you choose a plan other than the Viaero Lifeline-specific plan, you may apply the necessary discount to the wireless plan selected.

  • Free 1,000 minutes monthly
  • Free 1,000 text messages monthly

You can add 5 GB data for $10 a month

Viaero offers free and discounted cell phones, but it’s unclear if these are part of the Lifeline program. The free and discounted phones are deals that vary depending on supply availability. It might not be a part of the Lifeline program.

Viaero's Affordable Connectivity Plans

The Affordable Connectivity Program provides a $30 monthly discount for qualified households to apply towards internet service. For families living on qualified Tribal lands, the monthly discount increases up to $75. With the ACP, you can select from any of the Viaero Wireless internet plans and have the $30 or $75 discount applied.

The Better Unlimited plan is best for the casual user. The streaming speeds are DVD quality with unlimited 3G hotspot.

The Best Unlimited plan is geared toward one who enjoys streaming. The streaming speeds are HD quality. It also includes 1GB of high-speed hotspot data per day. This plan includes Bankable hotspot data of up to 30GB.

The Ultra Unlimited plan is best for the power user. It includes the fastest HD streaming speeds, 2GB of high-speed hotspot data per day, and the bankable hotspot data limit is increased to 60 GB.

The above plans include unlimited nationwide talk and text and unlimited service in Mexico and Canada. It also includes unlimited calling to Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico if you’re calling from the Viaero home network.

They also offer the Best Hotspot Plan that incluces unlimited hotspot up to 5Mbps at a streaming speed of 480p.

Viaero also offers serval Home-internet service plans ranging from 25GB up to 250GB at varying prices. If that interests you, go to their website and click the Internet Plans in the menu option.

Although the coverage is nationwide, you must live within their regional service area of Colorado, Kansas, or Nebraska service area.

Qualifying for Viaero Wireless Lifeline or ACP benefits

To qualify for the Lifeline or ACP discounts, you must satisfy at least one of the following:

  1. Have a household income at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines to qualify for Lifeline*. And a household income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines to be eligible for the Affordable Connectivity Program.

  2. You or someone in your household receives benefits from one of the following:

    • Veterans' Pension or Survivor's Benefit
    • Federal Pell Grant in the current award year
    • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) formerly known as Food Stamps
    • Medicaid
    • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
    • Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)
    • Programs for individuals/families living on qualified Tribal lands

    • Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance
    • Head Start (only households meeting the qualifying income standard)
    • Tribally-Administered Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TTANF)
    • Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR)

    *If you qualify for Lifeline, you automatically qualify for the ACP program.

    Applying for Viaero Wireless Discounted Service

    As mentioned earlier, Viaero Wireless is a regional carrier and only offers service in Colorado, Nebraska, and Kansas. If you live in one of these states and meet the above eligibility criteria, you may apply for service with Viaero. To do so, you must first apply through the National Verifier website. Once the National Verifier approves your application, visit a Viaero Wireless location to apply for service. Apparently, Viaero does not accept online applications.

    When you apply at the in-store location, you will need your Lifeline or ACP ID number. Once the Viaero application is processed, the appropriate discount will be applied to your bill.

    Things to Note:

    1. Use the same information on the Viaero application as you used when applying to the National Verifier. Your application may be rejected if you do not use the information exactly as it appears on the National Verifier application.

    2. Although you may combine the Lifeline and ACP benefits, only one such combination per household. In other words, if you and your partner qualify for the benefits and live in the same household, only one of you may receive benefits.

    3. You must recertify eligibility annually. If you do not recertify you will lose your benefits
