Human-I-T Low Income Internet Plans

More than just a tech company that provides low-cost or free devices and internet to low-income families, Human I-T does its part to reduce technological waste, reuse and recycle unwanted computers, laptops, and devices.

Human-i-t

Since this site is about free government phones and has evolved into a site provides information about discounted/free service through the Lifeline and Affordable Connectivity Programs, we’ll first discuss the free/discounted services. Afterward, we’ll discuss the positive impact Human-I-T is having on local communities and the environment.

Human I-T Affordable Wireless Plans

Since Human-I-T participates in the Affordable Connectivity Program, they offer hotspots with free monthly internet for a low one-time fee of $80. They also provide an ACP hotspot along with a discounted laptop. The ACP hotspot and laptop are deeply discounted for under $100.

The ACP benefit discount is up to $30 monthly for qualifying households. If the home is on tribal land, the discount increases to $75. The reason the ACP plans are free is that most Human-I-T plans are less than $30 per month.

It’s available in all US states except Hawaii, Alaska, and American territories.

Affordable Connectivity Program Qualification Criteria

Before applying for ACP benefits, you must meet the qualification criteria. To do so, you must have a household income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Or, you or someone in your household eceived a Federal Pell Grant during the current award year. Or, participates in one of these assistance programs:

Apply for Free/Disccounted Service

Once you meet the above criteria, you can either visit Getinternet.gov to apply for ACP benefits. Or, you may click the Sign Up Now button or call 1-888-391-7249 on Human-i-t’s website. Whichever route you choose, make sure you have the necessary documentation to prove you are who you say you are (i.e., have government-issued form of id) and proof you meed the eligibility criteria.

If you apply on the Human-i-t site, you’ll receive an approval notification within two business days via text. Or, if you choose to be notified by phone, that will take about three business days or more.

If you do not qualify for the Affordable Connectivity Program, Human-i-t offers low-cost internet service. Fill out their form, and they will help connect you with a low-cost internet provider. They work with Frontier Communications, Charter Communications, Cox, and Mobile Citizen.

Human-i-t Helping the Community and the Environment

As mentioned earlier, Human-i-t has a pension for recycling and reducing waste. They have an E-Waste pickup and removal service. As of this writing, they’ve diverted 12 Million pounds of e-waste from landfills. They recycle and redistribute devices to those in need. Check out their video on how it’s done.

If the video does not display, you can always view the video on YouTube

Their concern for the environment and ability to help the community and low-income individuals who most need these services make them the type of company I’d like to do business with. I hope they continue to thrive.
