Safelink Wireless Program

SafeLink Wireless

SafeLink Wireless was created by the folks at TracFone to provide free wireless phone service to folks who qualify. Prior to the advancement in wireless technology, the Lifeline program only pertained to land lines. With advancing technology and societal life style changes, TracFone realized that more and more people would benefit more from a free cell phone than free land line and thus created SafeLink Wireless.

Assurance Wireless

Assurance Wireless is a program whereby qualified applicants can receive free government phones. Backed by Virgin Mobile and supported by the Lifeline Assistance program, Assurance Wireless is able to help low income individuals by providing cell phones and free talk airtime.

Qualified Connecticut residents can take advantage of free government cell phones made possible by the Lifeline/Link-Up program. Both Assurance Wireless and SafeLink Wireless are approved to provide free cell phones and free airtime to low-income Connecticut residents that meet the qualification criteria.
